gopalaswamy betta,gundulpet,karanataka

before writing about these place,i have onething to say.whoever travels through gundelpet or wayanad should definitely go to gopalswamy betta.you will not be disappointed.its my guarantee.
gopalswamy betta is beautiful hill temple near gundulpet, karanatka.not many people know about this place,so that this place is calm and quite.
this is a place of worshlp and also offers a good natural beauty.

it was during the visit of my friend's house in wayanad,i came to know about this place.we started our journey to Gundulpet from Sulthan Bathery,Kerala.the journey was through Bandipur National Park. One they way we got the chance to see some animals in their natural habitat.

from Gundulpet, there is only a travel of 20 minutes to the checkpost at the bottom of hill. the security guards checked our vehicles thoroughly.we have to reach the top of the hill.the ride to the top was really enjoying.we stopped at some really good view points, took photographs and continued our journey.

we reached the temple after a 30 to 40 minutes travel from the check post.there where only a few visitors in the temple.i came to know from my friend that this temple is very old and pilgrims visit here throughout the year.
the scenic beauty around the temple was just awsome. the periodically arrived cold breeze just carried away our hearts.we spent some time there and returned.

kakkadampoyil waterfalls,kozhikode,kerala

it was during the beginning of  january 2013,when i was at home, one of my friend called me and told me about kakkadakpoyil .it was the first time that am  hearing about that place.without any hesitation i said yes and we started our journey.to go kakkadampoyil, one has to reach a small village in kozhikode district,THOTTUMUKKAM.almost 25 kms journey is there from thottumukkam.

the way to kakkadampoyil is very beautifull, but the roads are a bit bad.
the main attraction of kakkadampoyil is a small waterfall which is only active during rainy season.but the river  and the scenic beauty is awsome which makes the place attractive all the time.

there is no direct road to the waterfall.one has to park the vehicle 400 mts away and should walk.if there is a four wheel drive vehicle,we can reach there directly.

one has to be very carefull as there is no saftey measures in the rocks and water.some rocks are slippery,we should walk carefully.

there is no restaurants around these place,so it is better to bring some food.if we need some more fun,we can cook food from here .i saw some group of people, bringing food items like tapioca and chicken, preparing from here itself.
it is not a good place for ladies to come near the water falls. most of the people come here with liqour.as we walk along the banks of river,we can see broken liquor bottles,so be careful,it may hurt.
one can enjoy the beauty and silence of jungle here,if you are adventurous, you can have a small walk through the forest.one thing to tell is that try to remember the path.

i personally liked the place very much especially the refreshing bath .i felt like dissolving into nature and the wildness.had a wonderfull  day with my friends

ramoji film city,hyderabad

Hyderabad always fascinated me since i started to know about different places in India.During my studies I got the chance to live there for almost 6 months. On a holiday we headed to visit RAMOJI film city, world's largest film studio complex as per 'guiness world records'.

Frequent buses are available from Hyderabad city to film city.We took bus from Kotti bus station. It took almost 1 hour to reach there. The huge gate of film city welcomed us even from far distance. It was huge.

We have to take the entry passes from the main entrance itself. The ticket charge is Rs: 600. Entry time is between 9 am and 5.30 pm.From the main entrance buses are available to take visitors into the studio.Bus journey was a little disappointment since i didn't find anything visually appealing .After 15 minute travel, the bus reached the main centre of studio. From there, there were buses that carry us to different spots inside the studio .Charisma garden,Japanese garden,Sanctuary garden,Leg garden,Mughal garden are the popular destinations for visitors. There was a guide inside the bus,he explained about the history of the studio and the different films that were shoot here. For me the guide appeared like a 'human radio' who speaks in a recorded manner.Beware, the guide will tell some jokes, don't forget to smile. The guide showed us different "sets" where many popular films were made. For me,the studio set of popular serial,Mahabharat, was quite amazing.Buses are available from each particular spot to another. It will be a bad idea if anyone wish to walk because the temperature is quite high in Hyderabad during day time.

Inside the studio there are 'sets' made for different films and large number of gardens. If we are lucky we can watch film shootings and sometimes our favourite stars acting. But unfortunately we didn't find any.

There are many theme based restaurants inside film city.Since outside food is not permitted ,we have depend on these restaurants. The quality of food is just average.SUPER STAR, DILSE, JIMMY'S DRIVE IN, CHANAKYA ,ALAMPANA and GUNSMOKE are the restaurants in film city. The buffet will cost almost Rs:150 for adults everywhere

There are also many parks and entertainment rides which mainly target children. Many shows are conducted inside the studio that tell us about the techniques used in film making, more specifically 'outdated techniques'.I didn't feel anything interesting in those stuffs. There are also many souvenir shops inside. We can find those souvenirs anywhere in Hyderabad at a much less price if we are good in bargaining.

Film city is a perfect place for those who likes to take photographs which earn them tonnes of 'likes' in social networking sites.Come here with a good camera.

I had a huge expectation about film city till i reach there, but now i can advise anyone who wishes to go there that don't expect too much, you will be disappointed. Ramoji film city is a must go place in Hyderabad,as it is  one of the centre of south indian film industry and also world's largest film studio complex...
